Privacy Manifesto
"Privacy is not the right to be left alone. It is the right to determine for yourself when, how, and to what extent information about you is communicated to others."
— Adapted from Warren & Brandeis, 1890
dUZ Urban Systems exists because the technological conditions for privacy in public space have collapsed. We do not accept this as inevitable. More importantly, we do not accept that the only response is legislative.
The infrastructure of surveillance is material. Camera networks, edge-AI processors, facial recognition databases, thermal imagers, LiDAR arrays, gait-analysis software, ReID embeddings—these are physical systems deployed in physical space. They can be countered by physical means. This is the fundamental insight that drives our work.
We believe in radical privacy—not privacy as a feature you can toggle in a settings menu, but privacy as a material property of how you move through the world. Privacy that does not depend on corporate benevolence, government regulation, or the goodwill of platform operators. Privacy that is engineered into the fabric of your clothing, because that is the only place it cannot be taken from you.
The Surveillance Baseline
We track the surveillance infrastructure landscape because we must understand what we are engineering against. But we do not track people. This website does not use analytics services. It does not serve third-party scripts. It does not embed tracking pixels, fingerprinting libraries, or session recording software. We do not collect or store any personal information about visitors to this site beyond what you explicitly provide through the contact form or checkout process—and even then, we collect only what is strictly necessary to fulfil that interaction.
If you purchase a product, we store your shipping address, email address, and order history. We do this because shipping a physical object requires a physical address, and because customer support requires order context. We do not sell, license, or share this information with any third party. We do not use it for retargeting, remarketing, or any form of advertising. We delete it when you ask us to.
This Website
This site is hosted on infrastructure that logs standard HTTP request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for operational purposes. These logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and are not analysed, aggregated, or shared. They exist solely to diagnose technical issues and defend against abuse.
- No analytics scripts. No Google Analytics. No Plausible. Nothing.
- No third-party cookies. No first-party tracking cookies.
- No session recording, heatmapping, or click tracking.
- No fingerprinting of any kind (canvas, WebGL, AudioContext, etc.).
- No social media buttons with embedded trackers.
- No advertising networks. No affiliate links.
Payment Processing
Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not see, store, or process your full payment card details. The processor receives only the information necessary to authorise and settle the transaction. We have selected a processor that does not use transaction data for analytics, profiling, or advertising.
Email Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and nothing else. We send newsletters only when we have something to say—no scheduled cadence, no drip campaigns, no automated sequences. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately. We do not track open rates or click rates.

This policy was last updated 17 May 2026. It will not change without notice. We will never retroactively change how we handle data you have already entrusted to us.
